Bhumika Bai: From Survival to Self-Reliance

Bhumika Bai of Kodamal village became solely responsible for three children after her husband's death. Without a ration card or pension, she faced severe hardship. Lok Astha Sewa Sansthan provided immediate support and linked her to Sangwari Mahila Manch.

Through advocacy she obtained a ration card and a social security pension. Two of her younger children were linked to a sponsorship program (INR 4,000 per month per child). She later became an NRLM Cluster Leader with a monthly honorarium of INR 2,000.

Today she serves as Head of Sangwari Mahila Manch in her area and inspires many women.
