Khomeshari Bai: From Fear to Fearless

Khomeshari Bai of Mogra village endured severe domestic violence and fled with her child to her parents' home. With counselling from Lok Astha Sewa Sansthan and support through the Sakhi One Stop Centre, she pursued legal protection and joined Sangwari Mahila Manch.

Despite fear, she spoke in court, insisted on effective legal representation, and assisted police in serving a warrant. After nearly two years, the court ordered monthly maintenance of INR 4,000 for her and her child.

She later completed Solar Sakhi technical training in Rajasthan and now supports other women while working with solar technologies—an extraordinary journey from fear to leadership.
